Might be coveted, but it's not "elite"[/quote] It was not designed to be elite, but that is what it's become, in addition to being coveted. It's like a charter school being paid for with public money. They refuse to meet all students' needs, so there are few ELL students, few who qualify for fr/l, and SpEd students are pushed out. Add in the capped enrollment and the fact that they're about to get an amazing new building in Rosslyn, I'm not sure how it can be considered anything other than elite.
