Here's why it works:

The air comes from the inside only so it doesn't get any of the yet-to-be dried hair while it's drying the chunk wrapped around it. This is an issue with blow dryers for me - the surrounding still wet hair frizzes from radiant hot hair. Not with this.

The thing is wide so it can do large chunks of hair at a time. The bristles are tight enough to really get a locked in tight pull on the hair to get it straight even at the root while also not snagging or tangling.

Because you don't have to wield a dryer and a brush awkwardly with both arms, you can use both hands to guide this thing which allows you to twist and turn it easily for volume and to pull the hair up HIGH even in the back to get the volume and again to get all the way to the root.

My hair is full, bouncy, tons of volume and no hint of kink or frizz. Literally cannot believe such a humble looking tool can do this. Next time it goes 20% off I'm buying two more to keep as backups for when this one inevitably dies in case they stop making it. [/quote]
