DCPS dismissed any ideas about a cluster or moving some grades to Elliot Hine that Joe suggested would be necessary if the Maury project wasn't expanded until it was too late. It was CM Grosso who said at a budget meeting last year that DCPS had talked to him about a cluster. Grosso should have made DCPS engage Maury and Miner at that point as the council actually has oversight over DCPS, not the state board. DCPS didn't talk to Maury - until a couple weeks ago - and still haven't talked to Miner. I've heard that many comments on the Maury listserve were downright racist and hope that isn't true.[/quote]
