Woah! So management can reimpose the off-cycle review and requirement that you stay on track at all times. This is going to be terrible. What do you think management is going to impose as the new production goal? Can we keep the issue track?

And 30 day PIP? Does that mean being on track at the end of 30 days, or do you have to clear your backlog at that point too? What happens to the new program that they were just putting out for struggling attorneys to avoid PIPs? If union folks can't spend any time during the day on union activity, does that take away this mentorship program? [/quote]

OPM instructs VA to resume using 714 authority, which does not provide for PIPs. VA employees can be fired without first placing them on a PIP. It will take time to terminate the CBA, but when that happens, the union is dead and the union folks will have to resume their normal job duties full time.[/quote]
