I’m not convinced the family did it or knew who did. Burke was 8–he would have spilled the beans long before now if he did it or knows who did. Kids don’t keep secrets like that. They just don’t. He would have told someone—cops, friend, teacher, someone. I think if very well could have been some who knew the family very well, but I don’t think it was the family.
No, Burke was 9 almost 10. He was born in January 1987 and JonBenet was killed in December 1996. Anyway, I think Burke did it. I think it was probably an accident but I think he was a very disturbed child who was prone to fits of rage and violence and had a lot of animosity toward his sister who got so much attention. I think after he accidentally killed JB, Patsy found out and quickly came up with a plan to cover it up so she wouldn’t lose both her kids and could go on acting like they had a lovely family. And I think John was in deep denial about it all but knows what really happened and just can’t ever admit it.
Easily! John had lost his elder daughter by that time and then in the moment JonBenet. Facing the thought of losing Burke to the justice system. John knows. I think this also may be what was difficult for Beth Holloway in their relationship. I think he’s been respectful over the years because he clings to the manner by which he is protecting his child. Does he probably think that they will one day admit who they believe it was? Yes. Just as the CBS special did a few years ago. But his role as a parent at that point has been successful in that he was able to protect his child in the midst of having had to deal with the loss of two others. I wish him happiness with his current wife and life. He has been thru quite a bit. Similar to Joe Biden in some ways.
