I think it is disingenuous to present Palestinians as victims. They have had a long history of attacking Israel. Some of those terrorist attacks were brutal. This is the problem, the back and forth. I’m one of those people who believes there will never be peace between these two factions. There is too much history. [/quote]

A poll conducted in March 2024 by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, a think tank based in the West Bank, revealed that almost three-quarters (71 percent) of Palestinians living in Gaza supported Hamas’s decision to launch the October 7 attacks.

So yeah I guess like 30 percent or less of Gazans meet the bare minimum bar of thinking outright slaughter of Jewish babies and old people is a bad idea (although likely support other types of armed resistance). Palestinians are mostly victims of their own hubris.

I actually don't think Palestinians who passively support Hamas's goals deserve to be punished for that, any more than I think all Likudniks deserve to be hit by missiles. If you just look at the extreme positions held on both sides of this conflict and throw your hands up, it'll never improve.[/quote]
