The dip on gas prices at the pump are only temporary.  It's entirely due to the USG releasing reserves from the strategic petroleum reserves.  The SPR has now been depleted to its lowest levels since 1980. Release from the SPR has already been scheduled to stop in October.

Don't be surprised to watch as gas prices go back up in again in the fall.  Also, natty gas is exploding in price. Many consumers are completely oblivious to what's in store for them this winter.  They're about to get complete sticker shock this year from their heating bills.  Also, if Russia messes up the world markets for oil and gas to punish the EU during the winter, gas prices will explode again since the SPR will also be simultaneously closed.

Just wait until Dec. when people are floored that their heating bills have doubled to tripled and gas at the pump is back to $5/gallon.[/quote]
