Why is it likely? What logical justification would MLSN and GA have that outweighs the risks of isolating themselves from the pipeline and other elite leagues.
They want to make it harder to identify talent at the ulittle ages?
How would having 2 groupings make it more difficult to identify talent at ulittle ages. If anything there would be double the number of players identified.
No club is going to take the time or put resources into keeping two different registrations, MLSN may stay BY but they will be recruiting from SY system, can you tell me how that smooths things out for talent identification?
MLSN at academies can have more flexibility. But p2p clubs that have to put together a tiered flight of teams each year are NOT going to deal with recruiting those teams based on multiple age registrations, let alone explaining it to parents.
Why would there be multiple registrations? You can field BY teams in SY leagues using the same paperwork as SY teams. If a separate youngers BY league was put together BY clubs would just do paperwork for that league.
Different leagues needing different eligibility (registration) due to different cutoffs. It will require a separate database which clubs will not be able to manage well, even if they agree to it. You must have a July kid and/or have no basic understanding of how a club and leagues operate.
Nope September
