I agree and stand with Langley Mommy. She is right. Also that other woman who said Reid and her accomplice was gaslighting, that the opportunities exist at each school, and that all schools offer equal learning experiences. However, she started the meeting off highlighting how FCPS are 7 of the top 10 for VA (Langley being number 2)! It was pure gaslighting. Everyone knows Langley is a great school, we pay a premium for the great school, and dont want to be moved out based on the whims of a school board that should be focused on other issues.[/quote]

How are they gaslighting you when literally no changes have been made other than adding less than 50 kids to your high school? There is no gas lighting because there are no changes being made. The Langley parents should have kept quiet.[/quote]

it’s over 200 kids actually. reid also said they would be looking at transfers. and putting same programs in schools to keep kids in zones. i wonder if pupil placing is going to be squashed. there are 100 that pupil place into langley now[/quote]

I do think that’s one of the reasons the board has been reluctant to make equity-based changes. It makes for some awkward conversations: the school is too crowded you have to move. Response: What about all the people who don’t even live here who are going to the school?[/quote]
