"the rest of us are ok with it" Just clarifying that you are ok with A) The Wootton building never again being used for the cluster. B) The Wootton name going away and. C) Combining the Wootton cluster with 1,000 kids outside the cluster. I realize the benefit of a new building but isn't this a steep price? and of course it is a permanent closure of Wootton. While I pointed out that there are differing points of view, I don't think the majority of the Wootton community favors closing Wootton
How do you know how the rest of the cluster feels when the obnoxious falls me and Lakewood crew have never asked. We have held our own meetings and I don’t recall seeing anybody there who represented those neighborhoods. We’re on message boards and chats and I can say firmly in the past several months, not one person has asked how the rest of us feel. Have you?? I also attended the Townhall at Wootton when absolutely anyone with a different point of view was literally cut off or yelled at. There were participants that yelled at the people who handed out data reports that said crown was the only safe environment option. They screamed at them like it was a bias when in fact get real, that is the truth.
Them Then the rest of you need your own meetings and speak up.
Read above comment again. WE HAVE HELD OUR OWN MEETINGS and no one from the walk zone attended. The group is speaking up and voicing their needs in a way that doesn’t isolate us from the rest of the county.
Lack of hearing the other side much? lol case in point.
Not th poster you are responding to, but you make no sense. They said they held their own local meetings and attended those in other locations. Clearly they actually are trying to hear other viewpoints. Not sharing them is allowed.
I made the original post so I will clarify because you are incorrect. Unlike the anti-H Woottoners, us in north Potomac have held our own meetings. Anti-H didn’t bother to come. Instead, north Potomac came to anti-H meetings to learn more and discuss. North Potomac people were actually yelled at if a differing opinion was raised. North Potomac witnessed anti H yelling about data sheets that identified crown as their only safe environment option. Anti H yelled more.
This is a crazy take. I was at that meeting. Every participant was encouraged to turn in a note w their opinions and thoughts. Over 400 notes were turned in that day. The Wootton PTSA painstakingly documented every one of these notes. 5% of the over 400 notes were neutral on H. 2% was for H. You’ll never get an entire cluster to agree to anything, including the color of the sky. But if only 5% are neutral on H and 2% is for H AND THE REST vary from against to we absolutely hate it—the community has spoken.
I won’t teach you about proportions, so, agree to disagree.
**sounds to me like the rockshire/fallsmead community has spoken. I read it as the point is that is NOT the voice of the cluster but like the other poster, this again proves the point.
