With the huge drop-off in talent this year across the VHSL, it’s nice to see a competitive game. These teams would have been middle of the pack a few years ago, but two of the better teams this year. YT is still the clear favorite this season.[/quote]

I am not sure if you are remembering your older daughter’s lacrosse days too fondly or what, but this “huge drop off in talent” is not what you are making it out to be. I have also been in the HS lacrosse world for many years and the good players are getting stronger, not weaker. The talent may be more condensed to fewer schools and there may be more schools with average to below average talent, but the top teams this year would compete with the top teams of years past.
