How will McLean be better off?  Harkes hasn’t even finished a full year and they went from national powerhouse with multiple players excelling at a pro level to an absolute joke.  They traded the girls history for a second division on the boys side.

FVU was much better right(with 7 clubs and counting)? I wouldnt blame someone who took over a dumpster fire and hitting the reset button to build a program. CW let the boys side fall apart as TD and now someone has to clean up. JH has the best connections in all of the DMV, if they joined MLS2 it is to be MLS1 in 2-3 years.

No offense but if achilles and west virginia have MLS1 then anyone with connections can get it. The rest will be up to the quality of the coaches. The only reason ECNL got to where it is was because DA went under during covid and they picked up all the opportunistic scraps.

MLS and GA will take over under the US Federation. ECNL is under US Club soccer, MLS and GA are USSF.

If JH had connections than McLean would have got MLS1.  He does not have connections and has zero credibility in youth soccer.  He isn’t well liked in any circles and going behind Clyde’s back isn’t going to help his reputation.  You know that reputation that ruined the chemistry of a World Cup team.[/quote]

He had the pull to get MYS MLS2 without waiting. Legitimately MYS is not MLS1 caliber but if they perform they’ll get moved up. JH has a lot of pull. CW reputation was built when there were only two elite teams in the area. His communication and management skills are widely known to be terrible.  MYS hitting reset on a lot of these characters including CW, NM, JA, etc.

I don’t know if one post could contain so much BS and lies.
Did anyone need any pull to get MLS2?  Literally they gave it to anyone that wanted it.  FCV got MLS2 and they are known as a girls club.  
CW won a national championship and was coach of the year before the ECNL ever existed so the whole two elite team thing is just BS.  McLean was given ECNL because of CW’s reputation.  
His communication and management is widely known as terrible?  By who?  And tell me about Harkes’ great communication and management?
The only truth you said in this post was they are doing a reset.  The point is it was stupid to do a reset.  What was broken over the last few years?  They have had arguably the best graduating class EVERY year for the past 20 years.  Mclean might never have another power 4 commit with the decision to go GA.

Not pp but they’re right about 2 elite teams. McLean and FC Virginia were the only ECNL clubs in the area for years. How could they not build elite teams when they had their pick of everyone in northern Virginia? Bethesda was the only one in Maryland. There were three teams for this entire region.  There was no dilution. They literally got any player they wanted and they still couldn’t do anything. CW’s communication is awful and he’s collecting paycheck. Just get his cell phone number and your daughter will play.[/quote]
Lies and more lies.  MD United was also ECNL.
McLean couldn’t do anything when they were one of four ECNL in the area?  They were the best in this area by a mile. Almost every team was a top 10 team in the country.   Multiple teams made it to the national championship.
