Alcoholism is an addiction and it runs in families. It is well known that he dad was an alcoholic too. Given that he is in Hollywood where the temptation and ease to obtain anything he wants, the fact that he is trying to be sober is quite a challenge. And as far as cheating goes, there were rumors about both Jen Garner and Ben being cheaters at one time or another. They both still seem like they care about their kids.[/quote]

NP. I'm sure he cares about his kids, but so do a lot of people....not really a selling point. I wouldn't group him with other alcoholics trying to get better. He also had a terrible gambling addiction. He's dated several early 20s women when he was in his 40s knowing it would go nowhere. He's a celeb that is rarely told no, and rather than use the resources available to him to get help he continues to skate by.

He is consistently inconsistent/and seems to have trouble walking a perverbial straight line for any length if time. She is highly disciplined so I wonder how the hell she can and will bear him long term. She's Uber controlled and he's a mess. She does not drink, he is an alcoholic, she is an avid exerciser, he erratically gets in shape and then gains weight, she uses the media and pr carefully, he often says stupid things, etc. I am genuinely baffled about her judgment here. I think her discipline is probably attractive to him. I think his relationship with Jen Garner was similar in that she seems to be a very type A, supermom type. For a messy person like Ben, this is appealing... until it's not. They will probably be lovey-dovey for a couple years and then it will all implode, like it always does (for both of them). [/quote]

While both Jennifer’s have their shit together, I think the outlet for that discipline is quite different. Jennifer garner is a more mundane type of together- supermom- as you put it. Jlos energy goes into herself and her career. Tend to doubt that Jlo is super present or hands on- she’s prob away working a lot, and seems to be the type who’s always out at fancy restaurants or engagements when she is in the same city as her kids. Think this is exciting to Ben, until it isn’t and he becomes resentful of whatever structure either jenneifer brought/brings. [/quote]
