And children with underlying health conditions are in the category of "people with underlying health conditions." They are not OK just because they are young. And even though not as many kids are dying as adults, thousands are dying and even more are getting severely ill.

Note: the rate of childhood asthma in China is only ~2%, and China reported that for those under 19 years old, only 2.5% of the reported cases developed into a severe disease and 0.2% developed into a critical disease so far. So the "severe to critical" exceeds the rate of pediatric asthma.

Also note: the rate of childhood asthma in the US is ~8%. Don't expect our numbers to be as low as theirs.[/quote]
