DA "failed" because US Soccer no longer wanted to provide free soccer at clubs so there would be better USMNTs and USWNTs. MLS took over boys DA and morphed it into a form of minor league academy system. Girls DA started over as GA which was/is a near copy of girls ECNL. ECNL had nothing to do with DA blowing up.[/quote]
