In what grade is the Episcopal boy who will attend Prep next year? If it is true that he played a year of JV lacrosse at Landon, and two years of Varsity Lacrosse at Episcopal, then he will only have one year of high school lacrosse at Prep. If he "reclasses" as a Junior, he has to sit out a year. I don't think anyone in the league, will be happy to let this boy play five years of high school lacrosse when other schools have held many kids out of competition for a year to meet the four years of high school Maryland State Rule.
I would imagine Prep will enforce this and if they don’t the other IAC schools will certainly make sure it’s enforced. This also might be a first for the IAC too. I can’t ever recall a student athlete in the IAC history that had a kid transfer around to 3 schools, all within in the league too.
The IAC doesn’t have a lot of rules, but one thy do have prohibits a student from playing more than four years.
I don't think the player you are talking about is at risk of violating the four year rule. Episcopal High School did not play any games in 2020. The season was cancelled by Covid before any games were played. Hence, the player currently is on his third season.
