Ha! DP who read the entire thread.  Adding this post to all the rest complaining about black women being more selective than Asian women, I'd have to agree that the pool for educated AA women is smaller but reach a very different conclusion about who's being defensive about it.  Somehow it translates into failure though DCUM is chock full of women who followed the successful white guy standard and got burned.  Lives ruined, even.

Black women aren't choosing white men even when it means they marry later or stay single.  Boo fucking hoo.

Reading this thread only confirms my own choice.  Married an AA man at 36, ten years in, satisfied as all get out.  Naysayers can keep perusing the Match ads claiming they're open to whatever comes along.[/quote]
I don't think anyone cares if you die single and childless. It is just a baffling choice for those of us who value family, which many AAs don't.  It's like watching someone choose to starve to death in a restaurant because they only eat a certain vegetable that the restaurant has ran out of. It's your life and no one else is affected, but everyone thinks you're crazy.[/quote]
