My MCPS high schooler wishes the school day had more time built in for seeing teachers, starting homework, and for extracurriculars, assemblies, and special programs. These things were a highlight of her older siblings' private school experience. It made things a bit less stressful. Still, private has its own stress -- social pressure to keep up with the rich kids and dealing with the hefty tuition are two that come to mind.[/quote]
