We should be putting at least 1,000 kids in that building for $100M, not 775 kids.  Let's not forget that the SB is talking about putting 1,000 HS kids into the Ed Center space as a solution to the HS overcrowding and that location is the size of a postage stamp![/quote]

What I hope McKinley parents and Southies have learned is that you need to organize, and make so much noise that they can't ignore you. Because if you're sitting back and thinking that they are going to do the right thing on their own, you're going to be sorely disappointed. They're going to cave to the most vocal and organized groups.

And why are they allowing transfers (with transportation provided) at the MS and HS level to any school under 120% capacity, but not the ES level? If you would prefer to transfer to Jamestown, Nottingham, or Discovery rather than have your child at a grossly overcrowded school, you should be able. [/quote]

A large portion of south Arlington parents don't speak English, and are here illegally. They are not going to speak up. Besides, they don't see any problems anyway. [/quote]
