There were plenty of bad math textbooks and workbooks and curricula before the Common Core standards, and the Common Core standards (not surprisingly) have not magically solved this problem. But as the PP says, your objection is not to the Common Core standards. Your objection is to the bad math teaching in your daughter's school.[/quote]
