I imagine that sometimes sugar daddies are probably older married men who want a nice young thing on the side and have figured out that it's safer to have on ongoing relationship with one girl.

In the OP's case I sense what is happening here is that the guy (single, with money) actually is interested in the OP (he's pursued her before) but she's not returning his interest, so he's decide to buy her. Pretty sad if you think about it. This guy would rather pay OP to pretend to like him rather than meeting a woman who actually would. I see this ending badly.[/quote]
