Just because I voted for Obama and support liberal policies doesn't mean I have to want to live in an economically diverse neighborhood or a neighborhood where I am in a racial minority. It also doesn't mean that I have to want to send my kids to an underperforming school filled with struggling kids. That's a common misconception in this country (I'm originally from Europe). I'd only be a hypocrite if I wasn't willing to help pay for the policies that I support through taxes, or if I was proclaiming that I valued diversity in my personal home environment.[/quote]

Hypocrisy is a uniquely human trait, but the inability to recognize it in oneself is a trait most often seen in so-called progressives.  I voted R Reagan to Romney, and I have always enjoyed living in a diverse neighborhood (and have lived in many), but that does not mean that I want some G-11 at HUD making that decision for me and taking money away from my children to pay for it.
