I don't know why whites are "racist" if they want to live among other whites. Given the fact that demographics other than whites or Asians are far more likely to commit violent crime and property crime, it seems reasonable. Even the most shrill liberal won't endanger their children by moving to an ethnic neighborhood.
Is it the same sicko spouting the same garbage who is commenting in any and all threads that have even the hint of racial politics in them? Your speel is ignorant, tired and not factual.
I know that it is not politically correct to acknowledge facts when they don't fit the PC narrative, but you'd better believe that people consider them when they choose where to live. African Americans are 12.2% of the U.S. population, yet according to the FBI they constitute 56% of the arrests for burglary, 52% for murder, 30% for burglary, 31% for rape, etc. https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/tables/table-43 I'm sure you explain this by saying that police are racist and only arrest AAs, but those are some huge disparities.
I like how you failed to show the crime rates for whites in the same categories you stated for Blacks. I guess it goes against your argument that Blacks are more criminal. No matter, I'll do what you conveniently left out. Rape =66%, burglary = 68%, arson = 74%, DUI = 84%, vandalism = 70%, prostitution = 54%, sex offenses (except prostitution and rape) = 72% and the list goes on. Now considering that most white people live in majority white communities, it stands to reason that whites have a serious crime problem in their communities.
Listen, I'm not the poster you're arguing with, but you are missing some important math here. White people constitute 78% of the population, which means they are disproportionally less likely to to commit all of the crimes you listed above except DUI. Most while people do live in primarily white communities, but this poster above you is right that any one white individual in those neighborhoods is statistically less likely to commit a crime. I don't agree that this should directly drive people's housing decisions, but math exists.
Different poster here. I think pp is right about the proportionate *arrest* rate. But I think the difference is inflated because it is an arrest rate. For example, depending on how you slice the data, the rate of drug use among blacks and whites is around the same but blacks are arrested at a much higher rate. Not going to argue that there's no difference in crime between majority white and majority black neighborhoods but judging it based on the arrest rate alone is likely to skew the data. Whites are less likely to be arrested for drug use. What I've heard is that it's because sales and use are more likely to occur inside one's residence.
