OK, she said movies she likely hasn't seen, so I'm not sure why people are recommending these huge blockbusters?
Well, Gladiator was big, but I don't remember it staying with me. I want to see it again now because I think I was distracted the first time, and I had a hard time with his family/kid/whatever happened to them... Gladiator poster, what was it about the movie? Haunting?
As a parent, I found it haunting because he held his family close in his heart, as did his fellow gladiator friend, despite all the violence and tragedy they experienced. I don't think I would have felt that way were I not a parent at the time. I also found Russell Crowe's "A Brilliant Mind" even more haunting. He should have won the Oscar for that one. I do have a sibling with schizophrenia and found it to be an eye-opener, even with its "creative" differences from the real story. [/quote] +1. Agree completely. I also have a sibling with schizophrenia and it was absolutely eye-opening and a jaw-dropper for someone unfamiliar with the real-life story upon which it was based.
