No matter what Paul's beliefs were about homosexuality (or anything else), they (or any other religious beliefs) are not relevant to the civil laws against discrimination in the US.

Do you think that it would be ok to refuse to serve black people, if you owned a restaurant that was open to the public and your religion said that black people are accursed? Do you think that it would be ok to refuse to sell a woman a car, if you owned a car dealership that was open to the public and your religion said that women should not be allowed to drive? Do you think that it would be ok to refuse to open a bank account for a person in a wheelchair, if you were a bank official for a bank that was open to the public and your religion said that illness is a punishment from God and ill people must be shunned?  Do you think that it would be ok to sell an old person a gym membership, if you owned a gym that was open to the public and your religion said that old people are ugly and you must only look at beautiful things?[/quote]
