I'm surprised long hair has been mentioned so many times.
I know. It is a symbol of youth and vitality. When you get older, your hair is thin, dry and you will either look mousy or unkempt with long hair.
Sigh, I love my long hair, but noticed my husband doesn't like it as much as he used to--It sounds good to have it really long in theory but it really doesn't look as good once it starts getting thinner and grayer. I'm in my late 40s, but I really need to keep it at least shoulder length or I look super butch, so I'm, trying to keep it as long as I can without looking too frumpy. I do think it's true that hair stylists try to get women to cut it as soon as they turn 30--more profit for the stylist because you need to get it cut more often and they can use all the dye and highlights--which tend to fry your hair. DH also loves yoga pants and doesn't mind a little extra weight as long as I look healthy. He's a keeper :)
