Doctors in Gaza have reported the vast majority of the 1000 or so Palestinians killed in Gaza since the fighting started in July are of two groups:

1) Children under the age of 5
2) Women

Most fatal injuries are of a previously unseen kind: rupured internal organs with no sign of penetration and severe burns of a kind known to be caused by DIME as well as banned sulfur bombs.

Isreal claims it's intent is to eradicate the tunnels. How does using DIME in a densely populated area achieve that  tactical goal ?

The tunnels are used for eapons, but they were primarily built for smuggling commercial goods . If Israel REALLY wants no smuggling  tunnels ,then open up the waters off Gaza  for fishing, lift the blockade and also relase the funds to pay government salaries( Then they wont need tunnels to smuggle food, medical supplies, consumer goods)

Israel is fighting an enemy[b] of its own creation[/b] and will continue to do so and they cynically seem to prefer to go on a " killing off spree" every few years to the one action that they could take to end the war:

STOP BUILDING MORE SETTLEMENTS. ( but , no,  they want expansion, annihilation of the palestinians as a viable people, THEN peace……) The Likud's true motives are revelaed not in their words , but in the " facts on the ground". A people do not use DIME on a civilian population they see as their " fellow man" . This is ethnic cleansing, based on a feeling of ethnic superiority and the world governments are letting it happen, just as they seem to always do. " never again ???" A wall is being built people. Another wall….Gaza is the worlds largest out door prision, polulation : 4 million.

Lets have a democracy in Israel : a parliament based on the population numbers, no more walls being built and no more importing people to try to skew the numbers. If we are going to sanction " right of return" for one group then all groups must have their right of return honored. A right cannot be legitimate when it is granted to only people of one religion, one ethnicity. Either " right of return" is a value held by Israel and granted to all or it is not legitimately based .

Lets have a real democracy with religious freedom, freedom of association, freedom from discrimination ( and free from harrassment based on your religion/ ethnicity) , lets have a multi-ethnic society in Israel where everyone has equal value as a human being, Jerusalem as an international city of faith for all peoples and lets have the end of Likud and all demogogues.

Should have done that 30 years ago. THAT is the only way out.
