I don't know what part of the County you live in, but we all have private trash services where I live. The County does not pick up our trash, and my trash can sure doesn't say "Property of Fairfax County" on it.

I have 2 large dogs myself, and I would prefer that passersby not put their dog poop in my can. For my own dogs, I have a separate covered metal can for bagged poops. When I put out the trash, the contents of the metal can are put into a garbage bag. That is the last bag to go into the can before it is rolled to the curb. That way, I don't have to deal with smaller poop bags getting left behind or squished inside the trash can. If you are putting your poop bag inside someone else's trash can, at least to slip it into the top of a garbage bag in there so it doesn't make a mess inside the trash can![/quote]
