     Many years ago, when my aunt was pregnant with my cousin, my uncle was a diplomat stationed in Tokyo.  My cousin was a blue baby, born with a hole between two chambers of his heart.  My aunt went into labor and delivered the baby while my uncle was unavailable due to a diplomatic meeting that he needed to be at (50 years ago, no cell phone, so he didn't even hear she went into labor).  My cousin was born and immediately went into the NICU.  The problem is that while my uncle was bilingual and spoke Japanese, my aunt did not and so she was in the hospital with a child in the NICU and couldn't communicate well with the medical staff.  At one point she visited my cousin in the NICU and she heard this song on the radio and she broke down.  It became their song because she really felt that way about the two of them.  Later, my uncle arrived and things got better, but for several hours, she was beside herself.  He's fine and healthy 50 years later, but I can't hear this song without hearing my aunt tell this story (although my aunt passed away some years ago).
