These dogs are big and powerful and they have a bad reputation for a reason. Not all pits are the same but they have the ability to clamp down and lock onto their prey this is what makes them so dangerous they are like the crocodile of the dog world. While I dont think all of them are bad I do think that because of the type of people who get this kind of dog (usually to make up for vacant space between their legs) they should be banned. They are being used as weapons and to intimidate and its not good for the animals or people. There are plenty of other breeds out there for people to pick from that don't have the same problems attached to them. If you want a dog you should be able to make due with one of the less socially conflicted breeds.[/quote]
