Border Collie/black lab mix. Sweet and smart, but they take four years to mature. They chew, dig and nip. only when we started throwing a ball several times a day to wear her out, did she start behaving. We love her, and will keep her forever, but never again!!
Did you really expect a lazy border collie? even as a cross? Everyone always want border collies because of how smart they are and they are a cute dog but they under estimate the energy, as well as the mental activity. You have to plan on spending at least a few hours a day outside with them each day and you have to have the patience to get them doing home work I make mine learn a new trick or command every week and we work on it every single night. I also have made his matt a command so I can tell him to sit on his matt and stay until I release him...he thinks this is his job when i give the command and he takes his work very seriously so he will sit on that matt fully engaged with sitting there waiting until i say the magic word. They are amazing dogs if you are an amazing owner, if you are a lazy owner the dog is going to be horrible.
