But actually, there is not such thing as repeating 9th since it is more like college and it comes down to having enough credits to graduate. The ones that did 9th or 10th went to public then transferred to a private where there is more flexibility. I also know this is done a lot with 3rd grade and 6th grade. If I ruled the world I would have a place for 8/9 grade go to take HS classes with out the juniors/seniors around. Then they could go to HS with some credits under their belt without the social life of HS. (Of course, middle school is no picnic for many kids)[/quote]
