We got TONS of hand me downs from family for clothing, and for whatever we needed, we either bought from Goodwill (and washed REALLY well), or bought on sale on sale by clocking deals and stuff online (i.e. zulily or totsy, but i've found the BEST deals to be the 75% off sales at the end of season in actual brick and mortar stores)

We are also huge fans of CL and getting as much as possible off of there. I'd also recommend everyone get signed up with their local neighborhood listserv, because the communities are amazing and people are always letting go of things for very cheap or donating them to others in the community that need them. We've gotten everything from free diapers and cheap toddler toys, and have used it to sell a humidifier and give away unopened formula!

We kind of live off of the formula to NEVER pay full price for anything, and it works for us!

Also, the neighborhood listservs often arrange things like clothing swaps, which are an awesome way to meet people and get things you need. they do baby clothing, maternity clothing, regular mama clothing, books, etc. you name it!
