Kamala Harris reportedly moved out as rumors grow around her and Doug Emhoff‘s marriage being in jeopardy. The former vice president allegedly shifted into an $8.15 million pad in Malibu while planning another White House run. A new source claimed the move signaled campaign preparation and private strain and also tied the tension to her 2024 election loss. Moreover, they cited Emhoff’s campaign pressure and his reported wish for a quieter life. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/kamala-harris-moves-amid-doug-092213064.html Wow.
This whole thread is gross.
It is obvious why so many here on this site are hurling hate toward Kamala: this is coming directly from the widespread racism toward Indian-Americans in the USA right now!
Yep. Exactly. That’s the only reason people wouldn’t vote for Kamala. racism towards Indian- Americans. No other reason like she’s already run twice. Barely got any support first time around. Lost to Trump 2nd time around. She’s from CA - who wouldn’t want a coastal elite to become president?
I'll gladly take a coastal elite over a Dixieland hick that's hellbent on bringing back the Antebellum South.
Sure...bring on someone who lives in a multimillion dollar community with other millionaires and few minorities, drives fancy cars, and sends their kids to private schools but talks a good game about inclusion and equity.
Like . . . . Trump? Save the last clause (unless by DEI you mean financial and familial nepotism).
I'll repeat....we don't need a coastal elite. Trump is one. You want another one?
Is he though? For someone from inherited wealth he didn’t really go to the “right” schools (before transferring to Penn) and never managed to marry any woman of pedigree or wealth. It’s kind of curious.
DP. He's a coastal elite ONLY in the sense of having been born wealthy and having remained wealthy. As you point out, however, he's not an insider or member of polite society. In fact, whether in NY, DC, or Florida, the elite have shunned Trump and his entire family for decades. No one in Trump's family (not him, his siblings, or his children) was able to marry into the WASP elite or WASP-adjacent circles like a distant Kennedy cousin or something. Marrying the son of a convicted Jewish felon wasn't what Trump wanted for Ivanka, but no elite family was going to let her in. The closest they've ever gotten is the lady Donald Trump Jr. just married and, for whatever reason, she has a reputation as damaged goods who wasn't allowed to marry into the elite hence why she's settling for being Trump Jr.'s second wife at age 39. Tucker Carlson has talked about the ostracism of the Trump family from way back and claims Trump has been deeply angry about it for decades. He claims Trump settled for the Jewish segment of NY and Miami society because they were fellow outsiders from WASP society like him and he had to make the best of things.
The Kennedys are in no way WASP elites.
