I have a Palestinian friend and her father was in prison for 2 years in the late 70s for having no permit for a barber shop in the West Bank or something and he was given a ridiculous 10 year sentence and a jewish civil rights group helped him get out and come To America. There are nuances here although from what she tells me, both Palestine and Israel in the 70s was more left leaning and less far right than it is today. [/quote]
