They've gotten a ton of sympathy, empathy and solid advice and encouragement that this doesn't have to be a doomsday scenario. So to reiterate: yes, we understand why you feel like the school wasn't honest about your child's progress, yes we believe they could have been more transparent earlier about your child's exmissions future, yes, you spent a lot of money.
