I am meaningfully less happy since as a professor I'm getting really worried about the possibility of informants in my class, the possibility that some student will decide to go the college president and attempt to have me fired. I have to teach a class on US foreign policy next semester and I am absolutely dreading it. Last year was the first time I had students say overtly racist things in class, overly sexist class, quote podcasts by Nick Fuentes, had the president of our local Turning Point USA chapter in my class. It's hard to contain the chaos and I struggle with when to intervene now when students disagree in class because while normally I would shut down a lot of things, nowadays I'm worried that if I do so I will be accused of censorship.
I'm glad to hear this actually. The left has labeled literally all right wing ideas, from fiscal conservativism to border security, as racist. It would be impossible for students to engage in sincere debate on topics when all non-leftist perspectives are labeled hate speech.
You think Trump is a fiscal conservative????
