"FDA and EPA are both involved in chemicals used in food production. " Great. So what have they been doing for the last 40 years? Oh, right, EPA has been trying to boil the ocean by running down the path of carbon dioxide as a pollutant. Govt can't pave a road, but they're going to tell us how to fix the climate, whilst bankrupting us.
Whatever does that mean? Anyway, during the GW Bush administration the EPA said it wasn't a pollutant, and even if it is, since it is dispersed globally in uniform concentrations in uniform concentrations the EPA could not regulate it. The Supreme Court found that the EPA was subject to a statutory requirement to take steps to reduce CO2 emissions. Massachusetts v. EPA, 549 U.S. 497 (2007)
