No, no.  No one is underestimating how advanced the rest of the world is in academic standards and influence now as compared to US.  This whole country needs to be delulu otherwise they will have to face the shame that they have messed up their own future and their own country.

Accepting that the world is doing better than US means that Americans have to accept that they screwed themselves.  Every policy is a policy of greed and bumbling half baked uneducated hateful racist and christian right wing fanaticism.  And now MAGA.  Americans know that they have voted for their own downfall. They need to be drinking the delulu koolaid or they will have to slit their wrists. [/quote]
