38 is pretty old in the eyes of most men in the age group she is looking at. She needs to up the age to mid 50s.
What are you talking about ? I’m 48 never dated anyone more than 5 years older. Mid 50s man is unlikely to want kids, and he will be too low energy to run after a new toddler. Of course 38 is young. It’s just men her age group are at different life stages by now.
She’s too old for the young guys but too young for the old guys. Especially when you factor wanting a kid into the picture. If she didn’t want kids, totally different story.
I think she’s totally fine for 40s 5’3-5’8 men who still didn’t have kids. Men are also on the clock to marry and much younger women won’t be particular interested in families with men that short. Chances that a 50+ man would want babies with OP are even slimmer. And even if one does, I bet OP wouldn’t be interested in that man
I don’t think widening the height filter is going to move the needle too much. There are a very small number of single men in their mid to late 30s to early 40s who are unmarried, presumably don’t already have kids, and who also want kids, AND who are ok with the very tight timeline of doing so with a 38 year old woman. It’s just a numbers game and numbers aren’t on OP’s side, no matter what she looks like. If anything she should relax on the education requirements and look at more blue collar guys.
Maybe she doesn't want her children to be dumb as a brick. Nothing wrong with wanting a college educated man.
