On the back to school part on the website, it says book buying. Are we expected to buy our own books? If so what is the estimated cost for a high school student? And do they allow kids to print out their own copies from online and then staple it or do you need to buy the actual book? I've never been to a school where I had to buy books so I was confused.
Yes I was shocked at first too. But whatever you do don't buy the books off of the website doing that will make it crazy expensive (400+). Go onto amazon and buy the used paperback version (I did this and got a 100+ book for 15$). If you can't find it on amazon go to different site until you do. The earlier you buy the better because for some book there will only be a few in stock. Me and my family do this and we got an order that was supposed to be 461$ down to 71$.
Buying your own books is a very common practice in private high schools. Holton, Landon, STA all do it. You can look on Amazon for books but make sure you have the correct edition, particularly English books. Sometimes pagination is different and content has changed.
