You’re funny!  DOGE got rid of large swaths of people, including many people who were so good at their jobs that they had recently been promoted.  President Musk didn’t bother to look for low performers or bloat or even waste. He just likes to break things. They also got rid of a ton of veterans — which I hope gets the attention that this deserves.[/quote]
Getting a promotion in the federal government is a joke. Search the careers section here for feds griping that "my boss is an idiot" or "my boss was promoted because of politics," etc. Our government is bloated and inefficient. Using a scalpel would have the same result of whining, fearmongering, and would be tied up in court cases forever. There was no choice but getting rid of large swaths at a time. The fattest hog squeals the loudest when you pull away the trough. [/quote]
