I really hope that JMU stays at its current size. Feels just big enough without feeling huge like VT
I like the size of JMU too, but I do also have a DC at VT and was amazed at how *not* huge it actually feels. The campus is pretty compact, residential halls on one side and academic buildings on the other. You don't have to take a bus around campus the way you would at a lot of other big schools. My DC absolutely loves it there.
I've heard good things about JMU and know some very highly placed individuals who are JMU graduates; I always hear about their business school being great. I haven't visited the JMU campus because, although it was one of the schools my senior applied to, he got into VT and wants to study engineering and VT was his first choice. I agree with your comments on the VT campus -- I was very impressed and liked it way more than I thought I would; it's a big school but a well-designed campus with attractive architecture and seems easy to get around on foot (although we may get him a bicycle!)
+100
