Not embarrassed in the slightest. I'm not the person who thought it was too hard to apply for easy-peasy heritage-based dual citizenship but is now planning to after two weeks of Trump.
I'm that person. It is not easy-peasy to apply for heritage-based dual citizenship. It's a pain in the a$$ getting all the documents you need; and dealing with all the discrepancies when ancestors changed their names from the birth certificate to marriage, locating missing vital records in small communes in Italy, hiring the lawyer and so on. It's time, effort, and money. But yes, once I (and my siblings) realized that the Chaos President was going to return, we did start putting things into motion. Not solely to escape the chaos he is bringing to our country, but yeah, definitely partially for that reason.
