MCPS delayed 2 hrs Wednesday AND Thursday.
The writing is on the wall. It’s going to be colder tomorrow than it was this morning and the advisory for negative wind chills goes through 11 am. It’s a no brainer they’re delaying. Imagine buses can’t start and are late and kids are standing in temps that can induce hypothermia. They’ll have the bus drivers arrive on time and kids late to make sure this doesn’t happen.
Yet these are not actual things that are happening or would happen.
Ok. It’s going to be a delay whether you believe extreme cold weather affects kids or diesel or not.
This is laughably circular. It only affects certain buses and certain kids somehow. MCPS and Loudoun are citing road conditions and plowing concerns in their explanations. Not buses can't start and cold kids. Also, check out the map of how much snow fell. They got more snow on Sunday.
