Agree. The majority of the country is moderate and want pragmatic common-sense solutions to the pocketbook issues they care about. They were willing to go farther right to get the latter but were not willing to go farther left.[/quote]

except all of the "leftist" initiatives on the ballot nationwide passed. (the ones in Florida had majorities but not their stupid 60%) - the issue isn't the policies. Most poeple, ie over 60% support

-sensible gun legislation
-sensible immigration reform
-Roe
- healthcare
- minimum wage

I could go on, but the GOP did an expert job of handing slogan far left policies on to the whole party, when in fact, the Dem party leadership is moderate/liberal, not progressive. So instead, we will have a christian nationalist authoritarian regime.[/quote]
