I love this thread because it gives you a bird's eye view of the sheer ignorance of the obese orange man fan base in regards to immigration and many others issues, indeed. It will be entertaining to watch their reactions as their fantasized mass deportations doesn’t materialize in the way they think. Most importantly, I hear mass deportations but I see crucial elements missing to no surprise, i mean no one has ever accused the far right of being thougtful.A couple of things: 1. You'd be hard pressed to find an immigrant ( legal or illegal) who isn't employed in one capacity or the other. In other words, their labor contribute to the economic output of this country. Therefore, deporting them means removing productive elements of the American economy and replacing them with what? 2. Related to point1, the businesses they work for pay taxes (local, state and federal). The inevitable labor shortage will result in plummeting revenues for these jurisdictions to say nothing of higher prices for consumers ( in a country where functional illiterates who make up a majority of the voting block blame politicians and not corporate greed for rising prices) 3. Related to point 1 and 2. The birth rate in this country isn't going back to 1900 levels. The white women who have carried water for white supremacy in every election cycles aren't carrying 6 or 7 kids anymore. The wet dreams of 90% white America are just that–wet dreams. 4. This progressive is rooting for you all. Nothing like severe labor shortage , rising prices and rising labor costs. Perfect combo, isn't it ?
