My DD went through the same experience a couple years ago during U16 tryouts.  It was totally brutal!  She had been playing club since 13.  No offers going into Sunday.  We tried out for another club that wasn't on our radar at a makeup.  She got on that club as a filler for the roster.  Limited playing time, but she was around volleyball.  There were so many girls at tryouts around 15-16s age groups everywhere we went.  We heard from a parent that one club had moved up a 15 to a U16 team, because that player was tall and really good.  So that was one less roster spot.  My DD stopped club volleyball after that season.  [/quote]
