Actually the Philadelphia Union player had at 5 offers DCU , Redbulls, Real Salt Lake , Philadelphia Union as well as Atlanta United, as well as 3 invites to 2010's USA Talent ID, he's actually a technical player .. Parents are forever grateful to the SYC organization and Coach Tupy.
I've heard some Tall Tales in my life, but this is up there! A 2010 kid from SYC is one of the Top Talents in the Country and his name isn't known in all the DMV soccer circles and all the IG sites dedicated to youth soccer aren't posting about him? Uncanny The 2010's USYNT pools showed No One from a Non MLS Club or International Academy btw (yes, these things are published)
What a stupid take. U14 is when it starts to get serious. There has always been kids with multiple offers from different academies, and there will be more in the future. Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they don't exist. And they said US Talent ID, not the camp. There's a difference.
I thought U15 is when it started getting serious. Why aren't U14's at GA Cup and MLS Next Flex? Also, I'm impressed that MLS Clubs have such big scouting budgets and budgets to find 13 year olds all over the country and pay for family relocation. Thats impressive.
. And there ARE 13 year olds that get picked up and no, they don't relocate their entire family. Those kids are either in a residency or homestay program. I don't know of a single academy that pays for the whole family.
Picked up from MLS Next waiver wires? I think you mean the parents actively and heavily shop the kids out to whoever and wherever they can get in by any means and sacrifices necessary.
Wrong, from being scouted at MLSNext Fest.
