I love the way natural born citizens who have firmly embraced western values are called white supremacists when simply pointing out that *some* (ahem, let’s be real…it’s a growing number and rather scary when they congregate in the streets to protest Israel in support of Hamas) Muslim extremist newcomers aren’t assimilating and instead seem hell bent on things like: death to western values, relegating women to second class citizens, no tolerance for the lgbtq community…or anyone who isn’t *just like them* (meaning looks like them and embraces the same brand of religious extremism). Put another way: The citizens are being criticized for not tolerating the newcomers who clearly don’t tolerate the local community and societal norms. ^^^ That’s a powder keg ready to explode.
Well put.👍 If they come to the UK for a better life that they had in their home country, better assimilate and be part of the UK culture. Don’t bring your baggage with you for your crappy country that you had to flee from and recreate the same problems in the UK…..
Nobody is saying this out loud: They are coming because climate change has made most of their countries uninhabitable and they are strategically laying the foundation for a new place where their religion/culture dominate. It makes sense. But it’s not okay to force non-western values on civilized societies built upon western values. So can we stop with the knee jerk “You are a racist/white supremacist” garbage?
Climate change has zero to do with why they leave. You sound like Kamala Harris. It’s purely economics. If we are talking the Middle East, you will never ever find a Saudi or Emirati or Kuwaiti migrant because they are rich and these are places where the extremes of climate are maybe getting worse but are always extreme. . It’s purely economic. The Gulf countries subsidize education through college and healthcare among other things. Most developed nations around the wolf have some system of socialism. These other countries that create migrant crises? They do not. There is virtually no socialism in Africa, Afghanistan, Central America. With no real socialist systems in their home countries allowed, the failures of capitalism without any safety net run rampant (no education, no public schools, no police because that’s paid by taxes) If the Republicans get their way, our country will devolve the same way with the school choice and privatization of public schools. That’s step 1 to a anarchy society.
